December 2018 Post

+JMJ+

The many happenings of December
Where is all the snow? It's December!

This year we had almost all our Christmas stuff set up before Advent.

Our big commercial stove is on the other side of the shelf, our poor advent candles kept melting.

The first week some of us we went to see the Narnia musical

A friend went with us.

Not sure why they had to stray from the books so much.

A little girl in the school I work at gave me this candy cane candy snowman cute gift.

What have they done?

Does anyone remember the old "cute" pieces? Not sure how original those ones were either. But they keep changing. Didn't this one use to have a crown?

Nothing better then a sword.

I went to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe to hear Cardinal Burke's Traditional Pontifical High Mass.

Midnight Mass

My favorite songs that we sang:
Ring Christmas Bells (Carol of the Bells)
The Three Noels
Corde Natus

Eating nuts and oranges

We've been looking for a new coffee table.

If it wasn't in poor condition this would have been awesome.

The presents are piling up. With fourteen people in the house, and a good portion of them giving everyone else a gift, plus gifts from extended family and friends how many gifts do you think we ended up with?

Nativity Scene. Our fontanini has been growing since before I was born. :D

Check out this neat "barn" glider chair, that my dad and brothers made.

Look it's a partially white Christmas.

Christmas tree lit.

Stockings hung with care.

Marigold has glasses now

The size of the telescope does matter. :D

Opening presents. Merry made a top hat for Kili. I believe he was referencing "The Greatest Showman." :D

Ooo a pop gun.

I gave Marigold a doll since she requested a one for Christmas.

Merry gave everyone tiny top hats. Rosie pointed out, they did fit.

My present to Kili.

A sword!

Methinks it's a bit tall.

It was only about half an inch shorter then him.

Present Mistress handing out the packages.

But after this, I stopped taking pictures as I felt pretty sick.

This year Grandma gave us all adorable ornaments with our patron saint inside.

Mine had St. Bernadette and Our Lady of Lourdes

New Year's Eve and a blizzard.

Looks like we will be having deep snow after all.

That's all for December, except of course the choir outing pictures, but they will have their own post.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,

Please leave your swords and bows at the door, then come in and talk. All are welcome, except of course for the servants of Sauron. They will be asked to leave under pain of death.
