March for Life, Part 5: Morning after the March

And so continues my plethora of posts on the DC trip. The first part can be found here. The second part can be found here. The third part can be found here. And the fourth part can be found here.
Since the plans changed for Saturday Morning we would not have to check out of our rooms at 6:00 in the morning. We were told we didn't have to meet in the lobby until 10:00, than we would have Mass and go tour the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. This received the loudest cheer. We could sleep in so late. :D

I think my two sisters and I were downstairs by 7:30ish, but I have since forgotten the times of almost everything.

A few other people joined us.

Sam looking down from the balcony.

People strolling around taking it easy.

One of our friends needed gorilla glue to fix her boot, so we walked with her to Walgreens to look for some.

It was supposed to be three minutes away, but turned out to be more like ten minutes, after we wasted time walking in the wrong direction.

It was right next to this neat China Town arch thingy.

I liked the Potbelly, it had a pot full of fire on the roof.

Cute.

China Town. We didn't actually go into China town. But part of Walgreens was across the boarder. :D

We were two  or three minutes late getting back to the hotel. But that was okay, mostly everyone wasn't even there yet.

So we waited some more.

Finally we were gathered to hear announcements. Apparently the only time we would have been able to hear Mass was very early (7:30 maybe) in the Morning, as there were so many other groups that needed the Church, so the Cannons said their Private Masses, as there wasn't enough time to let everyone know, as the Canons didn't find out until late. So we were going to go straight to the Basilica. The St. Louis/Kansas City group went first as we only had one bus available.

While they were driving to the Basilica, we played "scarves." It's actually Spoons, but with scarves.

Then the bus came and picked up us. This time I snagged seats up front.

Plenty of good views out the front.

Approaching the Basilica.

Please leave your swords and bows at the door, then come in and talk. All are welcome, except of course for the servants of Sauron. They will be asked to leave under pain of death.
